Be strong!
“There are more things, Lucilius, that frighten us than injure us, and we suffer more in imagination than in reality.” This quote from the first century AD Roman philosopher Seneca are wise words for us who are rightly feeling fearful right now. However, as long as we follow the guidelines of “sheltering in” and just venturing out for necessities “being fearful” as a choice is counterproductive.
One important aspect for my husband and me is establishing a routine. While we are both working from home, we are not staying in our pajamas but are taking that morning shower, getting dressed and following a daily routine which will include daily walks. We are trying not to have the TV news on ALL DAY, but are restricting our viewing hours.
As my partner Jason and my business is real estate, we want to assure you that the real estate market incredibly, appears to be doing quite well. We participated in a multiple offer situation for a downtown Menlo Park town home yesterday with 5 offers! Unfortunately we were not successful and ALL 5 offers were above the asking price! There is strong interest in our beautiful Sharon Heights listing on Cascade and we expect an offer soon.
America is strong because its people are strong. My parents both served in WWII. While this is a war with an invisible enemy, I firmly believe we will pull through and be stronger! So in closing be strong my friends.
